I posted about the Campbell Duck Killer a while back. Urge to kill rising! Today I searched around on the web a bit, but there doesn’t seem to be any developments as of yet (I was surprised to see my post so high in the results!). I hope they catch this sociopath path soon. Anyway, that’s not why I’m posting. I thought you might like to know that when I drove by the scene of the crime this morning (as I do every day), I saw four ducks poking around on Spoons restaurant lawn. Yay, it wasn’t total duckocide then. That made me smile. A little thing in life to be sure, but who doesn’t like starting their day off with a good duck sighting? Not me.
So I spent some time cleaning up my office last night in anticipation of our new cleaning service arriving today and hosing everything down with warm sudsy cleaning solution. I rearranged some furniture and in course of doing this turned off and unplugged my sweet home built computer. When I plugged it back in and booted it I noticed that the fan on the top wasn’t working, and then I noticed it wasn’t booting. Eventually it came up with a message that the boot drive had failed. I know some of you are laughing at me right now, but I’m really beginning to think there’s something up with the power in my house. Maybe when I plugged it back in the power spiked. Could be my power supply is hosed, though the other fans seem to work. Don’t know if it’s really my boot drive. I can’t believe this. I think it’s time for me to find an electrician and have him (or her) come out and make sure things are okay, and if not, fix it once and for all. Anyone know a good electrician? Or a priest for an exorcism? Or an explosives expert?
